The Hellfest 2010 final line up is finally revealed…
Here we are! Today’s the final band announcement for Hellfest 2010. We hope you will appreciate the whole line-up and rank it as one of the best extreme and eclectic bill of 2010. Once again, we tried to satisy the most demanding fans. Here’s the last batch for this year’s edition:
ALICE COOPER – DEFTONES – MOTORHEAD – SLAYER – FEAR FACTORY – SAXON – AIRBOURNE – FIELDS OF THE NEPHILIM – INFECTIOUS GROOVES – STONE SOUR – CARCASS – HYPOCRISY – ANNIHILATOR – EXODUS – DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT – MASS HYSTERIA – DOOM – DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN – AS I LAY DYING – UNEARTH – ELECTRIC MARY VULCAIN – BLASPHEME – KALISIA – TAMTRUM
Mike Muir was so overwhelmed by the crowd response during Suicidal Tendencies’ performance last year that he will be back to Clisson with Infectious Grooves. If the energy and fun attitude is the same than for last year’s Suicidal Tendencies’ set, this will definitely be a show to remember. Be prepared for some a violent and funky shock treatment!
Festival-goers who watched Airbourne’s set back in 2008 can still remember an incredible and energetic show. Heirs to AC/DC, the Australians will be back to Clisson on a much higher rank on the bill, due to their increasing popularity in France and everywhere else. Be warned: Airbourne could become the biggest rock n’roll band on Earth in the near future!
Deftones are probably the most respected musicians in the world of Nu-Metal due to their integrity towards music business. Despite being confronted with tragedies (their bassist, Chi Cheng is in a coma since a car accident since November 2008), the band is stronger than ever. With Sergio Vega (ex-Quicksand) playing bass guitar and a new album to be released a few weeks before their Hellfest performance, the guys from Sacramento are ready to show that they have not lost any of their rage and intensity on stage.
What about some ‘French touch’? Some of the best French acts will be there too : Loudblast (the masters of French Death Metal since the 90s), Mass Hysteria (the national leaders of the Nu-Metal scene), Tamtrum (the new Electro-Rock sensation), Vulcain and Blaspheme (godfathers of French Hard Rock), Prog-Rockers Kalisia as well as Death and Black Metallers Gorod and Otargos…
