Richard Avedon was an American photographer. An obituary, published in The New York Times following Avedon’s death said that, « his fashion and portrait photographs helped define America’s image of style, beauty and culture for the last half-century. »

Italian Rome based Marco D’Amico (not to be confused with Chicago mobster Marco D’Amico) is a 34 year old sociology graduate, who just happened to fall in love with photography: “- I worked in communications and advertising for a while, and then I got stung by the photography bug. Thirty years is a ripe age to be going back to studying and I was so eager to learn that I devoured all the information I could find. The Internet is an infinite resource and the night is the best time to study.” The self taught photographer started out with music, and then later moving on to fashion, meeting a whole range of professionals in Italy and abroad along the way that shared advice to live by.
His work has now been published in several magazines including Vanity Fair Italy, Vogue.it, DModa, and Playboy Italy, and many album covers, especially in jazz music.
